This beautifully appointed cottage is equipped to meet your needs for a wonderful Maine vacation. The full deck across the back opens to a large lawn area where children delight in running, playing ball or testing out the hammock for a relaxing moment. The field beyond the lawn area is often frequented by deer and many birds arrive to dine at your very own feeder or to bath in the bird bath.

Town and Country Cottage is conveniently located 1 mile from the Acadia National Park Visitor Center and 4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and just 6.1 miles from the traffic light at the head of Mount Desert Island: look for the cottage on the right by the DOLL sign. Our Route 3 location provides easy access to the Island Explorer, a free bus service into town, inside the park and other island towns as well. Get on and off at will and another shuttle will come by in half and hour and collect you.

The cottage is smoke free and we are pet friendly. (no cats, please)
Your hosts, Brian and Hurshey Somers, are year-round island residents.

The open living area has hardwood floors with oriental carpets and a queen size sleep sofa, a television with cable and VCR, and telephone. There is a large deck with a gas grill off living room. The view and deck open to a lawn with a woodland meadow beyond.

The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, china, and pots and pans. We provide a washer and dryer located in an alcove near the bathroom. This year round cottage is comfortably heated with a Monitor heater that is easy to set and responds immediately.

The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed; linens are supplied. There is ample closet and storage space. Children are welcome and if needed, a crib and rollaway bed are available.

Nov. through April: $495 per week, or a minimum of $95 per night for 2, minimum of 3 nights stay
May: $695 per week
June: $850 per week
July and August: $1,095 per week
September through October: $850 per week

Occupancy is limited to 2 adults and up to 3 children unless arranged for at time of reservation.
50% deposit due at time of reservation - Balance due 30 days prior to arrival date
